1.
How much will it cost to evaluate our company?
Initially nothing. We
will come to your place of business and perform an initial evaluation
of your facility to lower energy costs free of charge. We will place
your unique parameters into our modeling software to obtain an initial
estimate of potential energy cost savings. This will give you the
ability to determine if an energy cost savings project will meet your
expectations.
Our next step is to complete a detailed engineering design. There is a
fee for this step, but it is fully refundable if we fail to design a
system that meets or exceeds our initial estimate. In addition, this
fee will be applied to a complete installation project. The cost
depends on your facility and the data previously collected during our
free walkthrough.

2.
How much will a new energy saving system cost?
Our engineering staff
prides itself on our systematic approach to addressing your electrical
needs and savings targets. We design our systems within your financial
and saving constraints. A typical project may provide a payback in 2 to
3 years with ROIs of 30% to 50%.

3.
What technologies do you use to lower energy costs?
We design our complete
systems using over 15 types of technologies. What types of technology
we select depends on your facility's environment. We let your
environment dictate the types of technologies we use. EASI is a
manufacturer, as well as a distributor of technologies, that improves
electrical efficiencies for equipment, air-conditioning, refrigeration
and lighting. After our engineering and design phase we will know which
technologies will be optimal for your facility.

4.
In what types of industries have you installed your energy savings
products?
All types: Automotive,
Hotel, Large Industrial, Small Industrial, Government, Public Works,
Warehouse storage, Distribution and Commercial buildings.
We have designed energy cost savings approaches for most industries
around the world. The wonderful part is electricity behaves the same
regardless of industry. What is important is to understand your unique
environment and operating conditions so we can design an approach that
works best for you.

5.
We already have Power Factor Correction. Can we still experience energy
costs savings?
Absolutely. We address
power quality and electrical distribution losses within your facility.
Normally, power factor correction is conducted at your main
distribution panel which doesn’t improve your facility
electrical efficiency or address power quality issues. We address
equipment, air-conditioning, refrigeration and lighting losses which
allow you to save regardless of power factor correction at the main.

6.
How is ESS different from other energy cost saving companies?
First and foremost, we
are an engineering company. We design, manufacture and install a
guaranteed energy savings project customized uniquely to your facility.
We also underwrite that project with a third party insurer (currently
Lloyds of London) to make sure you will obtain your payback period.
We take a full facility
approach to your electrical distribution system and apply technologies
which maximize your savings while minimizing your expenses. We take a
passive technology approach to your overall system. Namely, we use
technologies that you will not have to maintain or receive special
training on. We have spent years developing our arsenal of passive
solutions to bring you savings without the additional lifecycle and
training costs.

7.
Can we finance this project from savings?
Sometimes, but our
approach and our belief is to make a financially attractive project
that meets both your financial and energy savings goals. Paying from
your savings will mean much longer paybacks and increase your costs.
Financing is available to offer our customers little to no money down
and a monthly positive cash position.

8.
What is the effect of your technologies on equipment downtime and
equipment operation?
Because most of our
technologies are installed in parallel, any outage will not effect your
equipment operation. For the technologies that are installed in series
we have bypass switches to allow our customers to bypass our
technology, if needed.
Our technologies will not harm your existing equipment. Rather, they
enhance the operation, extend the life and minimize the maintenance
cost. There are many benefits of installing our technology. Improved
performance of your facility is one of them.

9.
How do you prove that your systems are savings money?
Measurement and
verification is the most important engineering work that we conduct. We
work closely with our customers to establish a measurement and
verification protocol for your unique facility. Our methodology is
drawn from and complies with the International Performance Measurement
and Verification Protocol (IPMVP). The IPMVP was established by a
network of energy professional and national organizations from over 25
countries for the purpose of standardizing the methods by which energy
conservation projects are measured and verified. We only move forward
with an installation project once there is a clear understanding and
agreement to our methods for measurement and verification.

10.
Are the energy costs savings products and services you provide legal?
Yes, we conduct
business in over 70 countries and follow and conform to all national
and international standards on equipment and installation practices.
All of our approaches are legal and effective in saving you money.

11.
If what you do is so good, why aren’t the OEM’s
doing what you do?
In some cases they are.
A customer can purchase a high efficiency air-conditioner or motor that
may use some of our technology approaches.
In other cases, our technologies are designed around your facility. An
OEM will not know your facility or have the knowledge to recommend
certain solutions because the equipment is not installed. We take the
data from your facility while it is in use to determine the optimum
solution. An OEM will not have this data.

12.
What are the lifecycle costs for this system?
None. Our systems are passive in nature and require no additional
training or maintenance to operate.

13.
We have a co-generation system on site. Can ESS still lower our energy
costs?
Yes. Our technologies
improve the efficiency of your distribution system. You will use less
electricity which will further reduce your costs and in some cases,
allow you to sell excess electricity back to the power company.

14. How does an EASI energy project benefit the environment?
Your facility draws its
electricity from the utility company. The power company generates
electricity by various methods. Currently, the most common way in
America is to burn coal to heat water in boiler tubes. The water then
becomes steam which is run through a steam turbine that drives a
generator shaft which creates electricity.
The burning of
carbon-based fuels results in raised concentrations of greenhouse
gasses which increases the earth’s average temperature and
destabilizes the weather patterns. The single largest greenhouse gas is
carbon dioxide. The US is responsible for roughly ¼ of the
world’s CO2, of which 40% is the result of electric power
production.
By making your facility more efficient, your company will be doing its
part in helping the environment. During our engineering audit EASI will
calculate your annual energy savings and also the equivalent annual
reduction of various greenhouse gasses, coal and oil.
